The Midlands-wide General Practice Assistant (GPA) Programme is led by Lincolnshire Training Hub. They are now enrolling for the January (expression of interest (EOI) deadline Friday 6 February) and March (EOI deadline Wednesday 1 April) cohorts. Don't miss out on this opportunity as it may be the final fully funded cohorts if numbers remain low!
The GPA role continues to make a real difference in improving patient flow, reducing clinical pressure and strengthening access. It is ideal for Receptionists, Care Navigators, Healthcare Assistants, admin / patient-facing staff ready for development, or individuals aspiring to hybrid or clinical support roles.

There are two training routes:
Apprenticeship programme via the Level 3 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship. Duration is 15 months.
University of Derby Level 4 GPA accredited course. Duration is 9 months.
GP Assistant community of practice
All GP Assistants are welcome to join Lincolnshire Training Hub's monthly GPA community of practice call. This is open to people currently on a programme, have completed, or are considering joining. The session will be led by Dr David Peachey (Project Lead) and is a great opportunity to connect, share experiences, and learn from other GPAs across the region.
