Learn how to deliver restorative supervision
This fully funded, Level 7 accredited programme usually runs for 10 days. You will gain the skills to deliver restorative supervision, support colleagues’ wellbeing, and lead quality improvement in your service.
To be eligible you must:
Be a Band 5 or above, Registered Nurse in a patient facing role
Hold a pre-2012 nursing diploma (with the addition of a top-up accredited Level 6 qualification)
Already hold an accredited Level 6 qualification (degree or degree equivalent / top-up accredited Level 6 CPD course)
Have line-manager approval to be released
NHS England run a couple of cohorts of Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) training per year. There is a short window when we are alerted to the next application deadline so we encourage you join our waiting list, ready to be submitted to the next cohort.

What is the course content?
This is a Level 7 accredited programme, including academic assessment, poster presentations and competency portfolios.
It focuses first and foremost on restorative supervision. Beyond this the focus is on the four functions of the A-EQUIP (Advocating and Educating for QUality ImProvement) model:
Clinical supervision (restorative)
Monitoring, evaluation and quality control (normative)
Personal action for quality improvement
Education and development (formative)
