I’m a Medic is an online, student-led enrichment activity for schools in Nottinghamshire.
How I'm a Medic works?
In June 2021, school students in Nottinghamshire can gain a deeper understanding of the diversity of roles in the NHS, and connect with healthcare workers from the region through I’m a Medic, Get me out of here.
Healthcare doesn’t just mean doctors and nurses. Give students an insider’s insight into NHS job roles that might suit their personality and interests.
From GPs and pharmacists to estates managers and switchboard operators, there are over 350 different careers in healthcare.
Hear teachers and healthcare workers talk about their experience of I’m a Medic:
In the Primary Care Zone, school students can Ask questions to members of local healthcare teams, Chat with them in live, text-based Chats, and Vote for their favourite team to win £500!
Show students different career paths that they may not have considered.
How to take part?
I’m a Medic, Get me out of here all takes place online, so it’s accessible from anywhere (the classroom, the office, up a mountain, at the side of a motorway…)
It’s all text-based (no audio or video required), and flexible – you only take part at the times that are most suitable for you.
