Laurence Quirk - Learning and Development Manager
I’m Laurence Quirk, the new Programme Manager at NATH. I joined the team in September 2020 as Operations Manager and started as Programme Manager on 1 April 2022.

Prior to working at NATH, I worked for charities large and small across Nottinghamshire and the UK. I have worked in community development / patient involvement alongside the NHS since the late 1990’s in Nottinghamshire. I have seen many iterations of NHS structures. Latterly I led learning and development across regional teams and managed national projects in British Red Cross and Royal Voluntary Service.

I wanted to take on the role of Programme Manager because it feels like I’m making a difference; I see NATH as a key component of the ICS. If we can give primary care staff the knowledge and skills they need, they ultimately provide great patient care which feels really important to me.

We are at an exciting time with a new three-year contract and I very much want to build on our success and the hard work of our outgoing manager Nicola, who’s done so much to build the team. NATH is a great team to be working with, there’s such diversity of skills, knowledge and experiences.

Outside of NATH, I’m a dog dad with two miniature schnauzers and when not walking them I’m often at the gym, doing yoga, meditating or have my head in a book.
