Meet The Team: Elizabeth Boaheng
What are your roles outside the ARRS Ambassador position?
I am employed by Notthingham City GP Alliance as a Clinical Pharmacist for a Primary Care Network.
Why did you want to take on the role of ARRS Ambassador? How will you be a good advocate for your role?
I am passionate about all things pharmacy, pharmacy education and training. Throughout my years in pharmacy, I’ve always enjoyed networking, working collaboratively with colleagues, being inspired by those ahead of me and inspiring those behind me.
What are the top three things you would like to achieve as part of the ARRS Ambassadors team?
Inspire more colleagues to join Primary Care.
Help create opportunities for growth and development for all pharmacy professionals.
Create networking events for pharmacy professionals in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.
What are your initial aims and plans to connect your role peers across the whole of Nottingham and Notts to develop a community of practice? How can they get in touch to join this network?
My aim is to reach out to all pharmacy leads/managers and where possible have 30 minute introductory meetings to introduce myself and my role at NATH and understand what their needs are and how I can support. I also aim to understand how they want to stay connected.
Feel free to contact me on elizabeth.boaheng@nhs.net
How would you like to engage and collaborate with PCN/Practice management teams to support the ARRS workforce?
I would like to connect with PCN and practice management to discuss their understanding of the role and how best to fully utilise and develop the role.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love spending time with family and friends cooking and eating. I love to read. Currently exploring the joys of audiobooks. And I love watching crime and investigative TV series.
Favourite holiday destination you would recommend?
Napoli, Italy – It is my hometown, so I am a bit partial. It has something for everyone. Beautiful beaches, scenic landscape/towns, lots of history, good food and very lovely and welcoming people
If you could be any animal for a day, what would you choose and why?
A turtle/tortoise. Just to chill.
Any recent films or TV shows you have watched that you would recommend?
Afamefuna: an Nwa Boi Story on Netflix. Learnt so much about the Igbo culture.
What are you looking forward to most over the next six months of the project?
I am looking forward to meeting everyone either in person or virtually and excited to see what we can bring to life together, working collaboratively.
