Why did you want to take on this role / what attracted you to this role and NATH?

I want to ensure that the growth in Advanced Practice from multi-skilled background continues. I wanted to work as part of a team that is really pushing the Advancing Practice agenda and shape healthcare.

What did you do prior to this role / what is your career background?

Prior to a moving to healthcare I worked for the Royal Household and as a personal trainer. I then began a career in the ambulance service before moving to Primary Care in an Advanced Practice role.

What qualifications / training helped you progress into this role?

Paramedic Science degree then PG Dip in Advanced Practice and HSE Digital Badge.

What are your responsibilities at NATH?

Aiding the development of Advanced Practice in Primary Care across Nottinghamshire.

How would you like to ensure your work is accessible to all and promotes equality, diversity and inclusion?

As my work tries to draw on the skills of people from numerous professional backgrounds this leads to greater EDI as this is a wide and varied workforce.

What are the things you would like to achieve over the next 6 months in the role?

I want to grow the ACP network / community of practice by:
- Increasing engagement with the ACP network meetings
- Increasing the understanding of the advanced practice in Primary Care.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Run. I am a competitive marathon runner. Next challenge is Freiberg Marathon in Spring 2025.

Favourite holiday destination you would recommend and why?

I would live to go back to Lithuania. Spent a few days in Vilnius and it was amazing - Great hearty food, impossible language, fascinating history.
A photo of a cliff taken from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

Favourite cuisine, restaurant, dish you would recommend and why?

Chachuka – lovely for a cold winter evening - warming and unctuous.

If you could be any animal for a day, what would you choose and why?

Octopus – I’m an awful swimmer and they combine ease through the water with amazing dexterity. Id love to explore the depths of the ocean.

Any recent films / TV shows / books you have watched / read that you would recommend and why?

Shardlake series of books (CJ Sansome) – gripping historic murder mystery.

What is your hidden party trick / ‘super power’ talent?

Whistling.

What are you looking forward to most over the next year working at NATH?

Testing myself in a new working environment, concentrating on systemic development rather than individual patient care.

What should people get in contact with you about?

HSE Digital Badge, any issues with Advanced Practice in Primary Care.
