An exciting opportunity for accredited training in mental health for nurses, ACPs and ARRS staff working in Primary Care is now being offered at Nottingham Trent University.

A number of course options have been developed with input from Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub (NATH) providing accredited training routes for practitioners who are interested in initiating or further developing roles to provide care for patients with mental health conditions in Primary Care.

Depending on an individual’s existing experience and interest, different modules or course options are available at Professional Certificate, through to Masters level. Following successful completion of the course, health professionals will be confident in managing the range of lower severity mental health presentations in primary care and may wish to undertake varying clinical responsibilities, ranging from annual and medication review through to routine follow-up and medical and non-medical management. The course will therefore provide a unique opportunity for interested professionals to establish the foundations for independent practice in this area.
