The Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development (ACCEND) Programme, in collaboration with key stakeholders, has launched three new specialist courses designed for general practice staff and primary care professionals who want to build the skills and knowledge needed to work in cancer care.

These new programmes form part of a national effort to strengthen the cancer workforce and support healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality, person-centred care across all settings.

Who Are the Courses For?

The courses are open to graduate health professionals working in or alongside primary care who wish to:

Develop specialist cancer care capabilities
Gain a deeper understanding of cancer pathways and patient support
Enhance their role in prevention, early detection, and personalised care

Whether you’re a General Practice Nurse, Nursing Associate, Pharmacist, Allied Health Professional, or another member of the primary care team, these courses provide the opportunity to grow your confidence and clinical expertise in this vital area.
