Summary of feedback
Communication in primary care works best when it’s quick, clear, and collaborative, and your feedback is helping us make it even better.
In previous months, we ran two short surveys to understand how Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP's) colleagues across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are using our NATH WhatsApp Channel and whether we should move towards a more interactive Community model.
The response was brilliant, and insightful:
💬 Over 80% of respondents said the channel is a useful and convenient way to stay informed.
📅 Most people preferred 2–3 short updates per week, finding this the right balance.
🗣️ 72% said they’d like more opportunity for interaction and discussion rather than one-way updates.
🔄 The majority supported the idea of moving to a WhatsApp Community, where people can network, ask questions, and share resources.
We also heard valuable suggestions about content, such as sharing more success stories, wellbeing resources, and updates specific to individual roles.
Based on your feedback, we’re making some exciting changes, and this blog shares how your voices have shaped what’s next.
What You Told Us
On the WhatsApp Channel
The channel is easy to access and helps you keep up with training opportunities, events, and resources.
The frequency of posts feels right, helping you stay updated without feeling overloaded.
You appreciate concise updates with links to more information.
However, several people said they’d love more interaction, peer discussions, and shared learning opportunities.
On Moving to a Community
Most respondents said a WhatsApp Community would add value by allowing two-way communication.
You want the chance to share ideas and connect with others working across primary care roles.
A few people noted that managing notifications will be important, and we’ll take that on board to make sure the experience stays positive and practical.
What We’re Doing Next
We listened, and we’re making changes.
🌱 We’re transitioning to a WhatsApp Community
We’ll be launching a new Developing and Supporting Notts Primary Care WhatsApp Community, bringing together key topic-based groups under one umbrella.
This new space will allow you to:
Join groups that are most relevant to your role
Engage in discussions and share best practice
Stay updated on news, training, and opportunities
📣 We’re improving how we communicate
You’ll continue to receive bite-sized updates on training, resources, and workforce initiatives, now with more opportunities to interact, network, and learn from others.
💡 We’ll monitor and adapt
We’ll continue collecting feedback to refine how the Community works, ensuring it remains a helpful, supportive space for everyone.
Why This Matters
This change represents a step forward in how we connect as a system. By moving from a one-way broadcast to a two-way community, we’re building a digital space where Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s primary care workforce can collaborate, learn, and support each other in real time.
Your input has been essential in shaping this next stage, and we can’t wait to grow the community together.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who shared their views. Your feedback ensures that our communication stays responsive, useful, and community-driven.
Keep an eye out for our next update, including details on how to join the new WhatsApp Community and be part of this growing network of professionals shaping primary care together.
