Summary of feedback
In May 2025, we conducted a comprehensive evaluation survey of the Grow Notts Primary Care App to understand how our users engage with it, identify areas for improvement, and gather feedback on potential new features. The survey reached a broad range of users, including community members, healthcare professionals, and local organisations, and covered aspects such as usability, content relevance, accessibility, and overall satisfaction.
Key insights included:
Most users find the app easy to navigate and value the personalised content feed.
There is strong interest in receiving more targeted updates based on individual needs.
Users highlighted the importance of community involvement and local resource sharing.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, 33 people responded, representing a wide range of roles across primary care, from practice nurses and GPs to non-clinical staff, care coordinators, and advanced practitioners. This feedback has been invaluable in shaping the next stage of Grow Notts Primary Care App, helping us improve the experience and ensure it truly meets user needs.
What You Told Us
Awareness and Use
Just under half of respondents (45%) currently use the Grow Notts Primary Care App.
Those who do use it primarily for training and CPD opportunities, event alerts, and accessing key resources.
What Works Well
Respondents said the app is easy to use, accessible, and simple to share with colleagues.
The events calendar and training sections were highlighted as particularly useful.
Many valued having information in one place without the need to search multiple platforms.
What Could Be Better
Some would like more tailored information for specific roles (e.g., GP-specific content, nursing support).
Others asked for clearer signposting to wellbeing resources, guidelines, and local support offers.
A few noted they had forgotten about the app or weren’t aware of it, showing we need to boost promotion and visibility.
Push Notifications
Most agreed notifications were helpful and relevant, though a few suggested they could be more role-specific to increase engagement.
What We’re Doing Next
We’re taking your feedback seriously and using it to shape the next phase of Grow Notts Primary Care App:
✅ New Registration Form – A simpler, clearer way to sign up and get started, making it easier than ever to join the Grow Notts Primary Care community.
✅ Personalised Feeds Coming Soon – You asked for more tailored content, and we listened. Soon, you’ll be able to see updates and resources most relevant to your role and interests.
✅ Improved Visibility – We’ll be promoting the app more widely across practices, PCNs, and professional networks so no one misses out.
✅ New App Structure – We’re reorganising the app to make navigation more intuitive, helping you find what you need quickly and easily.
Giving Back: Your Responses Made a Difference
As promised, every response to the Grow Notts Primary Care App survey contributed £1 to Harmless charity. Thanks to your participation, we were able to donate £33 in total!
But that’s not all, your votes also helped us decide which charity would receive the donation. The chosen organisation is Harmless, a Nottingham-based charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by self-harm and suicide. Harmless provides vital services such as counselling, workshops, training, and community awareness campaigns, helping people and their loved ones navigate difficult times.
Your feedback didn’t just help improve the app; it also contributed to a cause that directly impacts our local community. By taking part, you played a role in supporting mental health initiatives and raising awareness about an often-overlooked issue.
This is just the beginning, future surveys and initiatives will continue to tie user feedback to meaningful community impact, making Grow Notts Primary Care App a platform that gives back as much as it informs.
