Placements Required for Nottingham Trent University - Student Nurse Programme
Primary care has a fantastic opportunity to work with a new local university to increase student’s exposure to primary care settings as a first destination career choice as part of our future workforce planning.
NATH are working with the university to create further placement capacity for the student nurses and trainee nursing associates for all years of their programmes within Nottinghamshire’s Primary and Social Care Sector.
Urgent: 1st year Placements required between:
12th April – 10 Adult Nursing placements - 6 week placement block
19th July – 10 Adult Nursing placements- 6 week placement block
Tariff payments will accompany the students which is approximately £99 per 37.5hrs week / £594 per 6 week placement.
Becoming a placement area requirements
NMC supervisors and assessors - each practice will require at least 1 supervisor and 1 assessor
Supervisors can be any regulated professional working in the practice
Assessors must be an NMC registrant (Shelly provides the training for both roles if your staff need this before you can become a placement area)
If you do not currently support student nurses or Trainee Nursing Associates an Educational audit will need to be undertaken with Shelly and the university
A student induction package is needed that Shelly can also help with
Shelly has also developed a PCN placement model to help increase placement capacity for all undergraduate learners.
