Tariff payment
How does it work?
Placement blocks – dates can be shared a year in advance.
Allocated by placement teams – 6 weeks notice where possible.
Academic Assessors and placement team can support.
Audits
For NMC and HCPC programmes, we need to have the placement area audited as a learning environment.
To offer a placement we'd come and do an audit to check we can match your area to the programme needs.
We'd set this up with you and ensure you were free at that time.
Its an audit for any healthcare programme and can be used by other universities.
If there are quality issues identified for the learners, we can work with you to improve as required after the audit
Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA)
For NMC programmes:
The mentorship model stopped being used in 2019.
We now need students on each placement to have practice supervisor(s) and a practice assessor.
NATH have a website with the training slides on for these roles and if you have been a mentor in the past it’s a similar role split between the supervisor who teaches and the assessor who...assesses!
Staff at NTU then support you and the student in the role of academic assessor during all placements
