Saira Jawaid, Multi-Professional Education Quality Lead
I have recently been appointed as a ‘Multi-Professional Education Quality lead’ in March 2023. This is an exciting new role for me to oversee the delivery and roll-out of the Health Education England (HEE)/NHS England’s ‘Quality Strategy and Framework’. I will be working as an experienced clinical educator within my local ICS training hub i.e., Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub (NATH), engaging with various stakeholders including Higher Education Institutes, HEE GP school colleagues, Primary Care Networks and others. This would drive forward the implementation of the HEE Quality Framework and support the Training Hub in its evolving roll in assurance of learning environments for all learners in primary care. I am working as part of a network of several regional Quality Assurance Leads with in Midlands.

This role is a further step in helping me progress in my career. It is an exciting and a completely new role which builds on my existing role of supporting the multi-professional education needs. I look forward to working with existing NATH members involved in quality assurance purpose as well as other stake holders.

I am a GP in Nottingham and have a special interest in medical education. I am also a co-lead for the NATH Multi-professional support unit (MPSU). My previous clinical experience includes hospital medicine before qualifying as a GP. I have also worked as an educator for Phoenix Programme Nottingham as well as at GP selection centre. My qualifications include BSc., MBBS, MRCP, MRCGP, PGCMedEd.

I am a mum of an 8-year-old, he keeps me busy and entertained. I enjoy cooking, baking and painting in my free time. I have worked with-in NATH for the last 3 years and really enjoyed every aspect of working here. The team is awesome and am thankful for all the opportunities, I have been given to work with them.
