General Practice Nurse Conference - Award Nominations

As part of the GPN Conference on the 30th of April, we will be hosting a small awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate the amazing work our primary care nursing workforce continue to do.

Please use this as an opportunity to nominate and recognise your colleagues in a variety of areas.

All awards are open to all members of the nursing team including, HCAs, NAs, TNAs, GPAs, GPNS, NPs, ACPs etc.

Award Categories and nomination forms:

Education Award

This award is in recognition of a colleague who shows outstanding dedication and commitment to developing themselves and others, promoting life-long learning and self reflection. An excellent and inspiring teacher who demonstrates patience, communicates effectively, provides honest and constructive feedback, and acts as a role model for their peers.

Leadership Award

This award is in recognition of great leadership. A person with the ability to show positivity in the workforce, mentoring and encouraging people they work with, raising staff morale and inspiring others to go the extra mile. Someone who demonstrates their commitment to supporting the growth and development of their team and inspires others to make a difference.

Above and Beyond Award

This award is in recognition of an exceptional selfless colleague who has demonstrated outstanding patient care, valuable contribution to service provision and a dedication that goes above and beyond. Consider that colleague who always has a “can do” attitude and not afraid to break through barriers. Who demonstrates a collaborative and compassionate approach to their work, patients, and colleagues.

Innovation Award

This award is for innovation in practice. Including research, working collaboratively across organisational boundaries to identify challenges and implement or facilitate quality improvement. This person will have demonstrated innovative ideas with the potential to have positive impacts on service delivery, health improvement, equity and diversity, reducing health inequalities, increasing inclusivity or improving working processes or wellbeing.

New To Practice Award

This award is in recognition of the hard work, determination, resilience, and enthusiasm demonstrated by our new to practice colleagues. When considering your nominee, think about why this person stands out, how they have contributed to enhancing the quality-of-service provision, how they have demonstrated resilience in their approach to challenges and overcome obstacles, and how they have collaborated with others to deliver continued high quality, preventative and health improvement care to the practice population.
