Practice Educator Training Events

The Allied Health Professions (AHP) Faculty wants to support all practice educators to feel ready and equipped to take students on placements. Our university partners offer a range of training and updates for practice educators throughout the year.

We will continue to add to, and extend these resources as information becomes available.

elearning for healthcare - Practice Educator and Assessor Preparation (PEAP)

The Practice Educator and Assessor (PEAP) course has been designed to prepare you to become a Practice Educator, Practice Assessor or a Practice Supervisor – dependant on your profession.

The course has been designed by a multi-professional academic team in collaboration with a wide range of clinicians and is aimed at a multi-professional audience. It aligns to both the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA) (NMC 2018) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards of Education and Training (2017).

NMC registrants should complete units 1-6 in order to meet the requirements to be a Practice Supervisor (NMC 2018). Units 7 and 8 should be completed in order to meet Practice Assessor requirements (NMC 2018).
